Stornoway

Stornoway hail from Oxford and since 2006 their indie folk, initially self released before signing with 4AD, has seen them amass a substantial fan-base through breathless word of mouth. From grassroots support in their own town to the first new band to be booked for Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage - after winning their inaugural emerging talent competition – to being the first unsigned band to play Later…With Jools Holland. Their debut, Beachcomber’s Windowsill is both grandiose whilst retaining pure and heartfelt intimacy.  It reached number 12, went silver and won XFM’s best debut album of 2010.

Their last London show was a sold out Somerset House where they played to 3000 fans and were augmented by an orchestra. This year The Apple Cart will be one of a select series of shows for the band as they hunker down to pen their second album.
